Software defects that are detected later in the lifecycle of a software product are more costly. For this reason, mechanisms are needed to detect defects as early as possible, such as in the design or development phase. The EQuA project aims to establish exchange of knowledge and experience about software defect detection and remediation among research institutes and industrial practitioners.

EQua is a collaborative venture between the Delft University of Technology, the Technical University of Eindhoven, CWI, Software Improvement Group, Info Support, HvA and Fontys Hogeschool. The project is partly funded by Raak.
