ReSOS: Re-engineering Service-Oriented Systems

Consortium: TU Delft, KPMG, SIG
Service-oriented systems must be adapted to changing requirements, just like other types of information systems. In the ReSOS project, TU Delft, KPMG, and SIG develop methods and techniques to carry out and monitor such re-engineering endeavors.

In recent years companies and government organizations have installed Software as a Service (SaaS) and Service-Oriented Systems (SOS). While services are in place and operational, companies face a number of problems, due to continuing growth and increasing complexity of their systems. As an effect, developers are faced with an increasing number of deep changes in services. Maintaining the highly specialized services becomes costly and the inherent complexity hinders innovation of such systems.

The ReSOS project tackles these problems by means of detecting and re-engineering shortcomings in the design and implementation of service-oriented systems.

The ReSOS project is carried out by the Technical University of Delft, KPMG, and SIG. The project is partially funded under the NWO-Jacquard programme.
