CIO Day 2008 & SIG

16 September 2008
On 24 and 25 November 2008, ICT Media, publisher of CIO Magazine will be organising the 4th CIO Day: an annual international event aimed at CIOs and IT executives. This year, SIG will be one of the partners of the CIO Day.

The overall theme for the 4th CIO Day is  'What leads to a High Performance Information Culture?' Modern-day businesses must deliver a high quality of performance in order to survive in the competitive and globalising business environment.  A High Performance Information Culture is embedded into every task and business decision to ensure sustainable growth. How can you, the CIO, play a leading role in this cultural transformation? What experiences and obstacles have your peers encountered? Where can opportunities be embraced? What is the roadmap? These questions will be the focus during the 4th CIO Day. Sub themes are: Leadership development, IT & Talent management, Business & IT Alignment, Transformation, Globalisation, Innovation, Collaboration and Culture.

On 25 November, SIG, in partnership with René Steenvoorden, CIO Essent, will be organising a round-table conference entitled ‘Managing IT Partnerships to High Performance’. Because of their complex software application environments, high performing organisations cannot manage without partners: partners for strategic projects, management, outsourcing, offshoring. The interests of the partners are not always synchronised. So how do you make the performances of these partners visible, how can you measure them and how can you handle them in a practical way? This promises to be a highly interactive Round Table conference, drawing from examples of everyday practice.
