On June 7 2007, DLA Piper and SIG organised the seminar entitled ‘Rethinking IT vendor management’: how can I manage the supplier of my software?

DLA Piper is a legal service provider specialising in IT law.  

With the seminar, we established a link between the legal instruments of DLA Piper and quality assurance instruments of SIG. As well as speakers from both SIG and DLA Piper, there were three external speakers representing the following organisations:

 
They gave a practice-based account of their company, the processes, their experience with suppliers, business-specific themes, and the role of SIG's services in their business operations.

Visitors’ responses were extremely positive, praising the innovative combination of IT law with the services provided by the Software Improvement Group. Talks continued over drinks after the presentation, and new contacts were made.
