In addition to our stand at COBOL Future, Marco Diepenhorst gave a presentation on behalf of the Software Improvement Group.

Marco Diepenhorst was until recently employed at SIG as DocGen product manager and as Software Risk Assessments project manager. The title of the presentation was: ‘Source code analysis for the purpose of life-cycle management’. The presentation initiated an interesting debate on the willingness of COBOL developers to invest in quality software. The chairman of COBOL Future stoked up a heated debate by stating that willingness is rather lukewarm, because of personal politics of many COBOL programmers.
