This autumn, the seventh edition of the IEEE conference on Source Code Analysis and Manipulation (SCAM 2007) will take place in La Maison Internationale in Paris, France.
The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners working on theory, technologies and applications of source code analysis and/or manipulation of computer systems. Topics covered will include programme slicing, source-level software metrics, source-level testing and optimisation, and programme comprehension.
SIG is proud to sponsor the SCAM conference, in particular because SIG shares the insight that source code is of prime importance in software engineering. This is expressed by the fact that we use source code analysis as our primary source of information when performing Software Risk Assessments on software systems.
"The sponsorship of the Software Improvement Group highlights the practical relevance and continuing importance of source code analysis and manipulation for the IT industry." -- Dr. Leon Moonen, Software Evolution Research Laboratory, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, and General Chair of SCAM 2007.
The conference will take place between 30 September and 1 October 2007. The proceedings will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press.
