On Friday 23 June, the Koning Willem I Award, the Dutch National Enterprise Award, took place. This award was presented by His Royal Highness, Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

The Software Improvement Group is one of eight organisations which the board sees as an example of the high standards set by the organisations who applied to compete for the Koning Willem I Prijs. The board also sees these eight organisations as an inspiration for Dutch trade and industry, according to the letter penned by Mr. Wellink, chairman of the Koning Willem I Stichting and Chief Executive Officer of De Nederlandsche Bank.

The emphasis was on the selection criteria decisiveness, courage, perseverance and innovation.

The jury was impressed by the diversity and the high standard of the sixty applications.
