Today Nadia Ahmad Awan presented and defended her master thesis entitled "How to increase visibility of government ICT projects for external stakeholders - A case of the Dutch government" at the University of Tilburg.
Awan investigated the obstacles to transparent reporting about governmental ICT by interviewing stakeholders and reviewing scientific articles and governmental reports. To remove obstacles to transparency, Awan developed the RepICT model which provides a framework for reporting about ICT costs and benefits in a pragmatic, rich, and credible manner.
The research of Awan was conducted under the supervision of Aske Plaat (University of Tilburg & Ministery of Safety and Justice), Paul Laifa (Université de Aix-Marseille III) and Joost Visser (Software Improvement Group & Radboud University Nijmegen).
