On 29 May 2008, the Software Improvement Group was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by His Royal Highness Prins van Oranje: Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
The Koning Willem 1 Prijs was awarded to Solland Solar Cells. Although the Software Improvement Group did not win the Koning Willem 1 Prijs, we are hugely honoured to have been nominated. Her Royal Highness Princess Máxima of the Netherlands was also present at the awards ceremony.
The biennial Koning Willem 1 Prijs is the most prestigious business award in the Netherlands, and is awarded to two types of companies. One award is intended for SMEs, and one award is reserved for larger ventures. SIG was nominated for the first category.
The Koning Willem 1 Prijs is awarded to companies that have excelled in four key areas: decisiveness, courage, perseverance and innovation. The Software Improvement Group has all four qualities in abundance.
