On 8 and 9 October 2008, the Government Strategy Summit will be held in Landgoed Duin & Kruidberg, Santpoort, the Netherlands. This year, SIG has been invited to be one of the partners.
The Government Strategy Summit is an exclusive meeting for a select group of top executives (around 60) representing various public sector strands. The delegates include MPs, the Secretary-General, the Director General and directors within the government, the Queen's Commissioner, deputy states and provincial states within the provinces, the Mayor, municipal aldermen, County Secretaries of the 100,000 + municipalities, Governors and policy directors 100,000 + municipalities, Directors of autonomous administrative bodies (ZBOs) and agencies.
The Government Strategy Summit will address strategic issues affecting throughout the public sector. Key issues are knowledge sharing, knowledge transfer and networking. The extended programme offers a day and a half of interaction, courtesy of the programme components: keynotes, parallel sessions, round table discussions, one-on-one interviews and, of course, relaxation over lunch, dinner and drinks. The sessions are chaired by Charles Groenhuijsen.
Together with Cor van Tilborg (programme manager modernisation GBA, BZK), SIG is running a parallel session on 8 October 2008, from 16.15 to 17.00. On 9 October, from 11.00 to 12.00, SIG is organising a round table session with Dave Stegink (ICT manager, ProRail).
